Our team is the backbone of Wat Kampuchea Krom Inc. From devoted monks to committed board members, each individual plays a vital role in upholding our mission and serving our community. Together, we work to preserve Khmer Buddhist traditions, provide a welcoming place of worship, and foster meaningful connections.

Our Spiritual Guides

Our monks lead with wisdom, compassion, and dedication. They oversee spiritual practices, provide guidance to the community, and embody the principles of Buddhist teachings.

  • Vannath Chi – Lived in the USA since 2021. From Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Had been the temple assistant in Cambodia for 28 years and was a teacher for 4 years. Goal and vision is to learn everything about Buddha teaching and share with Buddhist followers. Would love to see the completion of building construction and to grow fruit plants and create vegetable gardens.
  • Piseth Chey – Seeking to overcome misery so as to purify the heart according to Buddha’s doctrine. Have a clear understanding of Buddhism. Teach and Lead Buddhists according to the Buddha’s teachings. Want to participate in the establishment and improvement of the temple and society.
  • Srun Srorn – Lived in the USA since 2022. From Kampong Thom, Cambodia. Have strong faith in Buddhism and desire to learn Buddha’s teachings for mental development. Goal is to spread Dharma to the community, to develop self-improvement and to promote Khmer culture. Wat Kampuchea Krom should be a center for Dharma training and Khmer culture for society development where Dharma and spiritual wisdom grow.
  • Dao Minh Van – Lived in the USA since October 2024. From Can Tho, Vietnam. Reason to become a monk was a desire to learn Buddhism. My hobbies are building and teaching. Help build Wat Munilong Srey in Can Tho city. Taught monks in Khmer Buddhist University at Can Tho city.
